Frequently Asked Question

We listen to our customers, so if you have a question that isn’t listed, ask by chat any time, and we will update the FAQ as needed.

I don’t have termites. Why should I have a termite service?

Our area is teeming with termites, an average of 15-25 colonies per acre. They clean up the woods by eating decaying trees. When we remove trees and build houses, the termites will seek out the closest decaying wood: It could be your home! Termites often go unnoticed for years, until the damage is so severe it requires extensive repair. We recommend preventative treatment with Pest In Class. We offer liquid chemical injection, active bait stations, and more for termite remediation, prevention, and for preconstruction treatment.

Are your products safe to spray around my kids and my pets?

There is always some risk when using any chemical, including household cleaners, but our technicians are trained in the proper use of pesticides to minimize the chance of harm. Inside, we use products which meet EPA requirements for Reduced Risk, which include low toxicity to non-target organisms, low impact on human health, and low potential for groundwater contamination. Our technicians will inform you of any special precautions for some products, but for the most part, it is as simple as keeping people and pets away from treated areas until the product has dried.

Where is your office located?

Thanks to advances in modern communication and technology, a physical office is an expense that we no longer have to price in to your service. Our “office” staff can work from home and still provide you excellent service, and we can pay them better and offer you a lower price. If you ever need an in person meeting, our manager or owners can come to you or arrange a meeting in a comfortable setting. For much the same reason, we are a 99% paperless company. We can save ourselves and our customers a lot of money on paper and record storage with emailed service agreements, invoices, receipts, service records, and more, and they’re all stored on our cloud system and available to you at any time.

When will you come back next month?

About the same time next month. Our automated system will send you a text message and email two days before your next service. Our system schedules appointments automatically on the schedule you decide, with a 7 day window. This allows us to group our appointments by location to save on travel time and fuel cost, and we are able to pass the savings on to you. If you do need a specific time and day, we can make arrangements for that as well, just let us know when we are setting up your service.

It’s going to rain tomorrow. Will spraying today even do anything?

Actually, yes! Most of the products we use on the outside of the home are designed to bond with the surface they’re applied to and resist harsh weather, rain, and sun. Some products use microencapsulation, a technology which protects the active ingredient in the product from weather and causes it to adhere to surfaces. Other products are designed with a microscopic polymer coating around the active ingredient to protect it, and we also use dry and granular products, which are not affected by rain.

Do I need to be home when you do the service?

Most of the time, no. Unless you are dealing with an active indoor infestation, or for your initial service, there is no need to be home. Our goal is to take care of the problem you called us for and then to prevent you from having it again, with as little intrusion on your life as possible. Most pests come from outside the home, so that is where treatment will have the most effect. We service the outside of your home regularly and automatically and send an invoice to your email. If you have a problem and need us to service inside, just contact us and we’ll schedule a specific time that works for you.
